Pikler’s Triangle and Balance Beam, Completed

We’ve completed the Pikler’s Triangle and the larger balance beam!

The Pikler’s Triangle needed two more dowels at the top as well as a locking mechanism to hold it at a desired angle. I added both on Saturday:

Also, while the balance beam was basically completed, it needed to be softened.

A round-over bit on the router and some 120-grit sandpaper took care of that. Now the beam is smooth and rounded and ready for crawling, walking, running, skipping, hopping, jumping and general frivolity.

So there you have it: two items for the kiddos.
