In the weeks leading up to the beginning of our second year we worked feverishly to get the room prepared for the kids.
We had hoped to have the new windows installed before classes began. That was not to be, but it could happen during the school year.
We would like to thank especially some special volunteers who really pitched in to help: Sara Mathews, Katie Takats, Cindy and Aidan Welker, Jace and Adam Weiss, Bekah Weigle and kids, Brady and Christine Webb, and Patrick Grace and kids.
Without their help painting, digging, stripping the pastoral mural, and cleaning, we would not have been ready nearly as quickly as we were.
Also, even more indispensable, our donors. Without their generosity, the paint, cleaning materials, and the many new materials we’ve put in the children’s house simply wouldn’t be here.
