They give a pretty comprehensive treatment to the event itself, plus who Hilltop Children’s House is, but the paragraph I want to focus on is this one:
Our goal with the king and queen contest is two-fold. Of course, we want to raise some money for Hilltop Children’s House, but we also want people to have fun,” Noelle explained. “Our hope is that people will host some creative fundraisers and thereby will add to the list of fun, wholesome events that have been happening in Steubenville. One such event is the Make Your Own Mardi Gras Mask fundraiser being held by Ohio Valley Handmaids. [sic]
That’s “Ohio Valley Handmades,” not “Handmaids.” I believe the typo came from us, when we sent information to them; it was not their own error.
But read the whole article, sign up and start your fundraisers to be king and queen, head over to Ohio Valley Handmades to make your own Mardi Gras mask, BUY YOUR EVENT TICKETS (ticket sales end on February 14, because we need to turn in numbers to the caterers), and we’ll see you there!
